A Good Day to Die Hard - Extended Cut in June When directors promote their films prior to the theatrial release, they often talk about censorship, deleted scenes or extended cuts that are supposed to be on the future home video releases. But especially such tasty announcements for longer versions are often just broken promises because the DVD/BD just contain the theatrical cut. Of course, the other thing can happen, as well. A Good Day to Die Hard is the most recent example of that. The upcoming Blu-ray, which will be released in the US on June 4th, 2013, will contain an Extended Cut with more story and action scenes. The theatrical version, which is also featured on the Blu-ray, will be the only version on the DVD.
