Australia Gets Its First R18+ Video Game Finally, all the fuss and endless waiting has come to an end for the good people of Australia. We recall: until lately, the highest possible rating for video games was MA15+ ("not suitable for persons under the age of 15"). That was a shame mostly for two reasons:
Mid 2011, the first attempts were made to apply the R18+ rating to games, as well. Now, the benefits of this act can be observed for the first time. Just recently, the Australian ratings board OFLC (Office of Film and Literature Classification) classified the extended Wii-U porting of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge with the R18+ label. Nothing more to say to that, except: congratulations and happy gaming, Australia!
