Wonder Woman - No Deleted Scenes

Theatrical Version is the Director's Cut

Currently in the theaters, Wonder Woman is the forth movie of Warner's DCEU - after Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. The critics were not exactly good for either of them but the box office result for all three was quite reasonable so it will be interesting to watch if Wonder Woman can leave her mark.

And since the movie is already in theaters, thinking about the next step is quite logical: The release on Blu-ray and DVD. And this time, there will be no Director's or Extended Cut. In an interview with Collider, director Patty Jenkins revealed that there are no deleted scenes that could be put back in. Based on the workprint, only minor cuts for pace reasons were made.

“You know, it’s not like a long journey didn’t happen but what amazes me is how little has actually changed from the first cut other than tightening. Little changes to the final battle, that was really it. I think that what I ended up finding about the final battle was I was hitting emotional points for Diana that I really wanted to hit but I felt a craving for some other kinds of emotional gratification and engagement that we tried to accentuate even more. I think what you learn is rhythm, tone, humor where the jokes are happening but in our case, I just now can finally say all this. We didn’t cut one scene in this movie nor did we change the order of one scene in this movie from the script that we went in shooting with.”

This was completely different before. Batman v Superman contains 30 additional minutes plus the alterations for the PG-13 rating were reversed as well. As for Suicide Squad, the Extended Cut contains 12 additional minutes.
