The Walking Dead – Violence Gets Dialed Back The outcry about the brutal opening of the first episode of The Walking Dead’s season 7 was huge. As it turns out, it has affected the production of the other episodes that came after it. The producers apparently decided to lower the level of violence in the first half of the season and the following episodes. Producer Gale Anne Hurd said in a discussion:
It looks like fans will have to accept that such a high level of violence will not be present in the future. In said scene, Negan has cruelly killed two of the main characters. The second half of the 7th season of The Walking Dead starts in the US on February 13th, 2017.
