The Hateful 8 - Blu-ray Only With Shorter Version Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful 8 is set for an upcoming home video release and many fans were anticipating whether the longer roadshow version of the film would also be included. This version was shown in the 70mm format in selected cinemas and has some alternate and prolonged scenes (see details) as well as an overture and an intermission that features the Oscar-nominated music by Ennio Morricone. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen on Blu-ray anytime soon. In the US, only the normal theatrical version is announced and right now it's unknown whether the longer cut will surface at a later point (be it on TV or maybe even UHD). The Hateful 8 wouldn't be the first Tarantino movie where fans don't get the version that they so dearly desire and would eagerly spend their hard-earned money on. The US get the Blu-ray on March 29th, 2016 in the original 2,76:1 format. You can order it at Amazon.com.
