67:20 / 84:40-84:48
Chow nods briefly and goes to his seat. 7.6 sec
Re-cut 68:06 or 68:07-68:08 / 85:34-85:37 Another close-up of Chow. Afterwards, you can see the three boys throwing paper a little earlier. After they have thrown the paper, theatrical version shows the shot already used in the long version, while the long version shows another shot of him. Taiwan long version 2.7 sec longer
Re-cut 68:22-68:23 / 85:53 and 86:00-86:01 respectively After Chow has thrown the paper back, the theatrical version already interrupts the shot of him with a short cut to the students being hit. The Taiwan version only shows this afterwards. Taiwan long version 0.5 sec longer
68:57 / 86:28-86:30 The teacher catches his breath for a moment longer and Chow gives him a thumbs-up. 2 sec
69:05 / 86:38-86:40 The teacher can be seen a little longer before Tso joins in. 1.5 sec Alternate / additional material in theatrical version 69:09-73:41 / 86:43-88:29 How Chow is kicked out of school is shown in completely alternative scenes. The version from the Taiwan version runs without any real gags and probably seemed too unspectacular in the end, not least because of this. In the theatrical version, there is a longer scene in which Chow talks to the principal, who wonders why his parents would besiege him. Chow's fake mother (also a policewoman) then arrives and even has a birth certificate with her. She also venomously says that she's a prostitute and while Chow is embarrassed, she complains that he doesn't take school seriously and therefore probably won't get her any foreign johns. Her gun falls out and she makes up that she bought this "toy" for Chow. Chow now wants to keep it and there is a bit of a fight about it, which of course results in a shot being fired next to Tso. The director finds it all exciting and fires another shot, the sound of which he finds impressively realistic.
In the Taiwan long version, Tso lets the secretary know that a student is being suspended and Chow is quite surprised (when he asks "Who?") that it's him. The two argue about it and Tso calls in the teacher, who is now instructed to call the police if he sees Chow in the schoolyard again. Chow threatens to blow Tso's cover too, but Tso remains unimpressed. On the stairs outside, things get going a little earlier as well and the others give him a half-hearted farewell.
Theatrical version 166 sec (= 2:46 min) longer 74:20 / 89:08-89:51 There is an additional scene here with Tso, who is watching the results from the horse track on the ticker at school. Chow joins him and tells him about a map with tunnels under the school. The terrorists would be targeting the building. He walks away and says that Tso shouldn't show the plans to anyone - which is immediately followed by the scene in theatrical version in which he gives the plans to the inspector. 42.8 sec
75:11 / 90:42-92:04 Tso and Lydia talk for a moment longer. A rather long montage follows, showing Chow pensively in the apartment and Tso in between - both have a cigarette in their mouths, which is then extremely burnt out. Both are grimacing. 82.2 sec (= 1:22 min)
75:37 / 92:30-92:33 The car can be seen a moment earlier. 2.5 sec Re-cut / Additional material in theatrical version 75:59-76:17 and 76:32-76:46 / 92:55-93:18 respectively While the theatrical version additionally shows here how the terrorists storm into the school...
...you only see a meeting of them in the Taiwan long version. This also comes in theatrical version a few seconds later though. The first shot of it starts a little earlier and so does the follow-up shot of Sandy in the gym. Taiwan long version 19.1 sec longer 76:26 / 93:27-93:28 It can also be seen a moment longer. 1.1 sec 77:25 / 94:14-94:18 Before we continue with the boys in front of the Christmas tree, we see one of the men with a walkie-talkie. 4.5 sec

78:16 / 94:49-94:52 The subsequent shot with the pupils on the kitchen floor starts a little earlier. 3.2 sec Alternative / additional material in theatrical version 78:29-78:31 / 95:05-95:07 An alternate shot of the answering machine. No time difference
78:31 / 95:07-95:09 The follow-up shot of Chow starts a little earlier. 2 sec Re-cut 78:43-78:47 / 95:21-95:27 Before Turtle gets a pat on the head from Jacky, the theatrical version switches briefly to Chow. In the Taiwan version, the shot runs through in one go and is therefore slightly longer. Taiwanese DVD 1.8 sec longer
79:16 / 95:56-96:01 Chow curses a little more after hanging up the phone and walks away. Since Turtle is still looking at the phone in the shot that immediately follows, as if it had just been hung up a moment before, the scene in the theatrical version looks more fluid. 5.8 sec
79:52 / 96:37-96:43 Before you see Sandy and Chang, the baddies go through the floors in additional shots. 6.1 sec
80:04 / 96:55-96:57 Another short cut to a baddie. 1.5 sec
Additional material in theatrical version 80:11-80:12 / 97:04 Chang looks to the side a little longer in the theatrical version. + 1.4 sec 80:27 / 97:19-97:22 Tso can be seen in another Terminator pose. 3.3 sec
80:33 / 97:28-97:32 Chang and Sandy walk away a moment longer. The follow-up shot of Turtle and the Goons also starts a little earlier. 4.5 sec 83:44 / 100:43-100:46 Tso looks around the corner and fires another shot. 3 sec
84:17 / 101:19-101:21 Tso runs along the grid a little earlier. 1.6 sec 84:49 / 101:53-101:54 The last shot of Tso is a moment longer. 0.9 sec 85:36 / 102:41-102:43 A first shot of the shooting Tso. 1.8 sec
85:44 / 102:51-102:54 Tso takes cover behind the bars a little longer. 3 sec Re-cut 86:04-86:07 / 103:14-103:25 A shot from the side of Chow has been pushed back slightly, shortening the shots of the buildings around it and removing one shot of it completely. Taiwanese DVD 7.8 sec longer
86:14 / 103:31-103:34 Another shot of the terrorists shooting. 2.5 sec
Re-cut 86:23 or 86:57-87:01 / 103:43-103:58 Chow's people are still rappelling from the roof, jumping through a window and knocking people down. At least the first shot of the rappelling & the one of the jump through the window were recycled a little later in theatrical version. Taiwanese DVD 11.3 sec longer
86:34 / 104:09-104:13 Chow gives a few more signs and his men move forward. 4.5 sec
86:42 / 104:21-104:23 Chow's team members jump inside earlier. 1.8 sec 86:50 / 104:31-104:33 They run to the door a moment longer. 1.2 sec Alternate / additional material in theatrical version 87:01-87:08 / 104:40-104:57 The shot of the jump through the window just mentioned is followed in the theatrical version by another shot of Chow and co gunning down terrorists at a door. They continue running.
In the Taiwan long version, you see them running through the corridors for longer instead. In the middle of the way up a flight of stairs, the theatrical version kicks in again.
Taiwanese DVD 10.4 sec longer 87:25 / 105:14-105:23 More shooting on the stairs, with one guy slowly falling down the steps. 8.7 sec
87:33 / 105:31-105:33 An additional shot of two agents. 2.5 sec
87:37 / 105:37-105:44 Some more banging outside. 6.3 sec
87:49 / 105:56-105:57 One of Chow's people can be seen outside a little earlier. 0.9 sec 88:00 / 106:08-106:10 Another one is seen earlier from the side. 1.9 sec Additional material in theatrical version 88:38-88:41 / 106:48 Before Chow shoots someone at close range with a rather bloody shot to the head, the theatrical version briefly shows a few students being escorted through the stairwell by Chow's men. + 3 sec
Additional material in the theatrical version 89:00-89:18 / 107:07 More shots in the stairwell, where Chow also speaks briefly to someone. Theatrical version 17.9 sec longer .
89:43 / 107:32-107:33 The team runs a little longer through the workspace. 1.1 sec Cut 90:54 or 91:24-91:25 / 108:44-108:50 Chow still loads his gun + a short shot of a baddie in hiding. The latter shot of the baddie also comes about half a minute later in the theatrical version and is curiously played backwards there. Taiwanese DVD 5.5 sec longer
91:46 / 109:42-109:44 Before the baddie shoots, the shot starts insignificantly earlier. 2.1 sec 91:52 / 109:50-109:52 Chow shoots a little longer blindly in the direction of the baddie. 2.5 sec 91:57 / 109:57-109:58 The same shot is also insignificantly longer. 1.7 sec Additional material in theatrical version 92:00-92:04 / 110:02 Only in the theatrical version does Chow take a quick breath after finishing off his opponent. + 4.1 sec
95:16 / 113:14-113:15 Before the hand grenade is detonated, Lydia and the gwailo are seen a few frames longer. 0.9 sec Additional material in theatrical version 95:17-95:20 / 113:16 The theatrical version still has a close-up of the guy with the moustache rushing to the rescue. + 2.9 sec
Alternative 97:23-98:34 / 115:19-127:41 In the theatrical version, the still image is followed only by a short montage of outtakes and overlayed with credits.
On the Taiwanese DVD, you first see credits over the frozen still image instead. This is followed by the outtakes without credits overlay and in a much more detailed form. While the theatrical version, for example, continues with Chow as a street cop right after the introductory kiss scene, the long version has several additional scenes in between. Here, the jokes from the movie are often simply repeated, without a real outtake. Music plays throughout.
