Maze Runner 2 With 2 Versions on UK Home Video

Censored and Uncut Releases in February

Although Maze Runner 2 is a very young film, it already has an interesting censorship history. In Germany, it was censored for cinemas by 1.5 minutes and later released uncut with the same rating and in the UK, the theatrical version omitted a little less than one minute for the 12A release.

That same version will be released on the regular DVD/BD release in the UK on February 1st, 2016. The BBFC database shows a corresponding entry for it. But apart from that, there's also an entry for a BBFC 15 version and it is likely that the same release strategy is applied that was used for the first film with a special edition Blu-ray containing this uncut version of the film.
