Fifty Shades of Grey and the NC-17 Version We reported earlier that producer Dana Brunetti entertained the idea that the bestseller adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey could be released in cinemas with 2 versions: R-Rated and a more explicit NC-17 cut. At least that's what he said in 2013 with Collider:
Of course, that wasn't a realistic option for the studio and Brunetti said recently that the NC-17 version was just an idea of his and that the studio wasn't all too happy about it.
Fifty Shades of Grey starts with an "R" rating (for strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language) in US cinemas. The release date is scheduled for February 13th, 2015. ![]()
