Bad Grandpa .5 as Unrated Release in the US Even if you don't like the Jackass folks and their leader Johnny Knoxville, you have to respect their ability to make a decent profit off of their work. After the Jackass movies 2 and 3 already got a direct-to-video bonus release (entitled 2.5 or 3.5, respectively), the same business plan is now executed for the spin-off Bad Grandpa. The product is called Bad Grandpa .5 and will include all the jokes and pranks that didn't make it into the theatrical film due to its plot structure. The fact that the main film got its own prolonged Unrated Cut (see comparison) seems not to have torpedoed the studio's plans to put out another release giving fans even more material. Just like the other releases of this kind, the US get it directly as unrated VOD, Blu-ray and DVD on July 8th, 2014. It even has its own trailer and you can order it at Amazon.com.
