A Fistful of Dollars With 4K Master at Cannes If you keep track of the current Cannes festival, you may have heard that Quentin Tarantino is presenting a newly restored 4K version of Sergio Leone's classic A Fistful of Dollars. Nice, you might think, especially with the new Blu-ray box of the trilogy that also contains For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (which got a brandnew HD master) coming out in June. Unfortunately, that box will continue the status quo and only contain the old Blu-ray of part 1 and 2. Only the 3rd film will have a new edition. The 50th anniversary of the first film thus wasn't used to release the ultimate Blu-ray box. But maybe next year or the year after that, when the sequels celebrate their anniversary. The box comes out on June 3rd, 2014. You can order it at Amazon.com.
