The Vessel as Unrated Director's Cut in the US The cover of the horror film The Vessel says that some secrets are better kept hidden. One fact that doesn't seem to be affected by that credo is obviously that the distributing studio avoided to submit the film to the MPAA in order to get their blessing in the form of a rating. Instead, they quite visibly attached the Unrated Director's Cut tagline on the artwork that ideally helps to attract some customers that have both a faible for horror films and are under the impression that the absence of an official classification goes hand in hand with a heightened amount of bloody contents. If you want to find out whether that's really the case with The Vessel, you can order the DVD starting January 28th, 2014, when it comes out in the US. Just head to Amazon.com in order to do so. ![]()
