Nymphomanic: Uncut Director's Cut at Berlinale While it has been cleared up in the meantime that the first part of Lars von Trier's sex drama Nymphomaniac will shortly be released theatrically in a shortened version that doesn't have the director's blessing, a release date for the Director's Cut had yet to be found. But that has been done by now, as well. Part one of the long version (which - combined with part 2 - has a total running time of 5.5 hours instead of 4), will have its premiere on the Berlinale in February 2014. It is shown out of competition and will thus not compete for the Golden Bear trophy.
