The Act of Killing gets a Director's Cut While the normal theatrical version had a runtime of nearly 2 hours, the UK already got and the US will soon get a Director's Cut of the documentary The Act of Killing that will add more than 30 minutes. In 1965, more than 1 million people were killed in Indonesia. The victims were allegedly all communists and died after the military coup under General Suharto. The culprits were never charged but are now in important governmental positions and are still famed as heroes. In the documentary The Act of Killing, murderers tell their side of the story and got the chance to reconstruct their actions in an artsy way. While it is already out, interested customers in the US can purchase it when it comes out on January 7th, 2014. You can order it either at Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com. ![]()
