Argo: Extended Cut Finally Comes Out in the US Shortly before Argo managed to score three main awards at the Oscar ceremony, the German branch of Amazon.com released the information that Ben Affleck's film would get an Extended Cut on Blu-ray. Warner Bros. wasn't too happy about that since they wanted to hold that secret until after the Oscars. However, since German and British customers could rejoice because they got the Extended Cut anyway, the US did not! This situation will finally change in December 2013. The beautiful Argo: The Declassified Extended Edition has the longer version (see comparison) on board next to other goodies such as an Argo fake poster, a 64-page book, a map, and so on.
