Last Vegas: R-Rating Lowered to PG-13
The Hangover for kids gets a rating in the US that actually makes it easier for kids to watch it. Last Vegas unites Robert DeNiro, Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline and Morgan 'I'll take every role' Freeman. Even though the film owes his existence to the Hangover movies and the fact that the gags remind of the good old clichés of comedies with old seasoned protagonists, the star actors should deliver enough entertainment for most audiences.
It's up to anybody whether it's a good or a bad thing that the 4 heroes aren't involved in a "hard R" story but it was obviously designed for a PG-13. The "R" rating it got in the first MPAA round sounds rather like a mishap. The studio went in again to appeal the decision and obviously got the PG-13 rating without having to edit anything.
Last Vegas starts in US cinemas on November 1st, 2013. The UK follows on November 8th, 2013.
