Saints Row 4 - Australian Version is Censored
After the Australian ratings board rejected Saints Row 4 twice, it became clear that the version for Down Under had to be censored in order to be released.
This resulted in the deletion of the loyalty mission for the Shaundi character (with a duration of approx. 20 minutes) that includes the consumption of "alien narcotica". This alteration makes the Australian version's online functionality incompatible to versions in the rest of the world.
Furthermore, the censorship prompted the ratings board to even apply the MA15+ classification which makes the game suitable for minors.
Regarding the "Rectifier" weapon (also known as the "alien anal probe"), Deep Silver decided to be a little more cautious and will make it an exclusive bonus feature for customers of the seasons pass (worldwide, mind you). It is currently discussed whether this weapon can be a part of the Australian seasons pass.
