Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning on BD On October 15th, 2013, Warner Home Video released the horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in the US on Blu-ray for the first time. When the movie came out in 2006, it had to be censored in order to get the "R" rating for its theatrical release. The unrated version came out on DVD later on and restored the scenes that had to be cut (see comparison). Unfortunately, Warner Bros. doesn't seem to seize the opportunity of putting this unrated version out on Blu-ray. This is a similar case to Jason Goes to Hell, which also only contained the R-rated version despite an existing unrated version being available. The best release of TCM: The Beginning appears to be the French Blu-ray. It has the unrated version on board in 1080p and also contains an English DTS-HD audio track.
