Warm Bodies - Probably No Longer Version on DVD/BD Director Jonathan Levine managed to give the zombie genre a charming makeover with his romantic zombie comedy Warm Bodies. This was honored by the cinemagoers. Even though it was planned as a PG-13 vehicle, Levine shot some additional splatter scenes that obviously didn't make it into the final cut. However, he wasn't averse to the idea of a longer version DVD/BD later on, as he declared in interviews. Those of you who hoped that the official home video announcement of Warm Bodies would contain info regarding such a version will be in for a disappointment. Summit and Lionsgate will only release the theatrical version on DVD/BD, as their press bulletin says. There are some deleted scenes, so we'll have to wait what they have to offer. If we are lucky, we might get an Extended Cut later on. Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 made an example of that. Warm Bodies will be released in the US on June 4th, 2013. The UK follow on June 17th.
