The Awful Dr. Orloff Gets Uncensored DVD Edition Jess Franco's The Awful Dr. Orloff (OT: Gritos en la noche) was made in 1962 and hasn't been released in its entirety anywhere in the world. This is about to change, since the German distributor Edition Tonfilm will release a DVD that features the international version that runs 11 minutes longer than any other cut before. Additionally, the shorter French version will also be on the disc. The bonus section includes an alternate scene, the Italian trailer, an alternate cover art with two different pictures and a booklet with 8 pages. The DVD will be released in either a slipcase or a hardbox (the one on the right) and will be available starting April 15th, 2013. What makes this release interesting for international customers is the fact that the film will have an English audio track since there is no German synchronisation available. If you want to own the longest possible version of the film, there aren't that many reasons against importing it.
