The Last Exorcism 2 is Rated PG-13 for Cinemas Well, who would have thought. Shortly before production kicked off on The Last Exorcism 2, producer Eli Roth talked about the rating for the sequel of the successful found-footage horror. Instead of a PG-13, they now aimed for an "R":
Those, who hoped for a more gruesome film will now have to sink back in their seats and gasp in disappointment. The new bulletin with the MPAA ratings brings the news that the sequel also got a PG-13:
It's currently unknown whether that demanded cuts or whether that just means that the "R" rated material wasn't so "R" after all. If you don't feel offended by the PG-13, then you can watch The Last Exorcism 2 in US cinemas on March 1st, 2013, and in UK cinemas on March 15th, 2013. The sceptical rest can wait until maybe the DVD/BD offers a longer cut.
