Ghoulies 2 Also Cut on British Blu-ray

Uncut R-Rated Version Still Wishful Thinking

Ghoulies II (1987) was rated "R" in its uncut form but was then censored down to a PG-13 for the video release. In the UK, the film was cut less in order to achieve the BBFC 15 rating and the British MGM DVD features the cut PG-13 version.

The situation worsened even further with the US Blu-ray be Scream Factory only containing the PG-13 version with the deleted scenes as bonus material. What an opportunity for 101 Films to get it right and put the "R"-rated version on their release, isn't it? Well, dream on, the Blu-ray that hits UK shelves on April 11th, 2016 will also only feature the film in its censored form.
