The images of torture are shown / censored in a clearly distorted way here in the IT. At least, this makes the whole thing look more like a nightmare of Jeffries (Lee), because several shots overlap and thus seem a bit less explicit, whereas the US (and also the German version) shows this in a normal way. Thus, the Italo viewer almost completely misses the one prisoner getting his hands chopped off at the end of the scene.

The scene in the dungeon starts earlier in the US version. A girl is tortured and the bald man takes care of Mary for a short time. He pushes her into the cell, where Mary has to have sexual intercourse with the captured girl. Afterwards, Mary is undressed and forced into a small bathtub, where she washes another woman. She is then carefully dressed again.

Here you can only hear German sound throughout resp. already in the US version the whole scene (or at least a big part of it) was probably inserted from German sources.

In the italian version, there are other shots inside instead: Mary is released from her shackles and recognizes Harry. She says that she loves him, but then she is led away, Harry lowers his gaze.

Note: On the German Starlight DVD as well as the Koch bonus DVD, only the last 16 seconds of this scene were inserted.
