Who would've thought: At this point, two shots that were in all likelihood part of Woo's footage are extended in the HK version!

The Korean version, on the other hand, treats us to another real highlight and possibly the best scene in the whole movie: Chan has the opportunity to shoot the colonel in cold blood. But he changes his mind and lets him live. The Colonel then swears revenge.

Then you see Chan's mercenaries sitting together around the campfire in a cave, smoking Marlboro and singing "Que Sera Sera". Chan and Julie talk for a while. Just as they get closer, they are distracted by the shenanigans of Chan's team. The camera pans to a stone figure, then fades out. After the fade-in, a native tribe can be seen.

In Hong Kong, on the other hand, only a few leftovers from the preceding scene are used: The end of the shot in which the Colonel swears revenge is shown briefly (but only the sundown, nothing more) and there is a dissolve to the shot of the native tribe.

Chau Sang and Chin can be seen briefly. One of Samton's men aims his rifle at the Frenchwoman, but before he can pull the trigger, Chan shoots him in the back.

Samton drops another Buddha Talisman. His men throw a smoke grenade. Kenny runs back to pick up the discarded talisman, Julie rushes after him.

The mercenaries are mighty angry that Samton lured his people onto their trail. Chin threatens to shoot the man, but Chau Sang knocks Samton unconscious with the butt of his rifle instead. Then you see Samton's men noticing their leader lying in the grass. But this turns out to be a trick by the mercenaries: Chin has put on Samton's clothes to lure them into an ambush. He and Chau Sang take down Samton's men.

Afterwards, Julie realises that Kenny has disappeared. She runs off, closely followed by Chan, who shoots some of Samton's henchmen along the way. Eventually they find Kenny helping a dragonfly out of the water. After their reunion, it turns out that they are being watched by the tribesmen.
