- 3 extended scenes in the TV Version
- 6 removed scenes
- 1 scene with alternate footage
- 1 removed scene with alternate footage
- 1 scene with alternate audio
Furthermore, there are plenty of other differences such as longer black screens in the TV Version, missing end credits and logos that look a little different in the Preair Version.
The length difference is 5.84 sec.

Supergirl is a remake about Superman's cousin, this time in the form of a TV show. In the US, the show premiered on 10/26/2015 on CBS.

It is not uncommon that the pilot of a particular show is previously available in the US. It is called Preair Pilot because this is not necessarily the final cut of the episode that airs (hence the term "preair"). This is also the case here. Except for a few alterations where is actually a comment or a small scene missing, the alterations are basically completely and utterly insignificant and redundant because they always follow the same pattern: a single or a few frames at the beginning/end of a shot have been removed and that is it. That is so inconspicuous that one would not even notice when watching the versions one after another. Other than that, there are a very few scenes missing in the TV Version but that is not really worth mentioning either. All in all, it appears to me that the alterations were made so that it is a better fit for the TV slot. Only knowing the TV Version means having missed at all. Contentwise, there are no differencecs at all. If that is the case for a change (like a missing comment etc.), it will be specifically mentioned in the comparison. For the rest, the scenes themselves are 100% identical - except for a few missing/added frames at the beginning/end of a shot.

Interesting news for fans of The Flash: Barry Allen resp. The Flash will probably make appearance on Supergirl. For details, please read this article. Also stated in the article is a possible appearance of John Constantine (main character of the cancelled show Constantine), who already encountered Oliver Queen in the current Arrow season, on the latest spin-off DCs Legends of Tomorrow.
