With the episode 8.21 Partial Terms Of Endearment, the creators of Family Guy intended to come up with the taboo subject abortion. In Juli 2009, Seth MacFarlane announced that FOX gave their permission for this episode but FOX also said at the same time they couldn't assure that the episode was going on air. Two days later, that premunition was officially confirmed. A couple of weeks later, when Seth and rest of the ensemble were at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Hollywood for a live performance (article plus video), the episode was already known as banned episode (publicity is everything). And the fact of the matter is: the episode never aired on FOX. At least the BBC in UK was more liberal so that "Partial Terms of Endearment" went on air on 2010.06.20.

So that the US fans (and anyone else who has no problem with an import from the US) had the pleasure to watch it, the episode was released as "2-Disc-Set" in September 2010, advertised as "Banned from TV" of course. Like all the episodes in the last couple of years, the DVD Version is longer than the TV Version on BBC 3. The new footage is mainly more insulting and might have been left out for TV (even though it was obviously not enough). It also contains a trivial plot extension with Stewie in a bar. And last but not least the censored F-words, as usual.

The reunion ends with Peter's assumption that he's going to ride the tricycle in the TV Version.

In the DVD, he adds: "This even tops sex with a mermaid!"
The corresponding cutaway gag follows:
Peter's desperately looking for the "entrance": "Where is it?"
The mermaid replies: "Keep looking."
Peter: "I can't find it anywhere."
Mermaid: "Keep looking."
Peter: "There's nothing but a fish tail down there."
Mermaid: "Keep looking."
Peter seems to have found it further below: "Oh, there we go."
The mermaid disagrees: "That's not it."
Peter, with an angry look on his face: "It's gonna be..."

After Peter went through all the different scenarios, the DVD Version contains a further scene with Brian and the kids.

Brian: "We got a few hours to kill. What do you want to do?"
Chris: "Let's get something to eat."
Meg: "We don't have any money."
Stewie with an eye to a bar: "Pull over there. I'll get us some money."
Inside the bar, he's standing next to the pool table. He asks naively: "Now, wait. So the white ball has to hit one of the stripy balls?"
One of the two guys replies: "Yes. How many times you gonna ask me that?"
Stewie: "I don't know. I'm just a baby. All right, so I guess I'll, um... What is it you call it?"
- "Break."
Stewie: "Break. Right, break."
He puts away all the balls on the pool table and says: "Oh, my God! Beginner's luck, huh?"
Now a shot of Stewie with money his hands full of money, being chased by the guys he played with: "Start the car! Start the car! Go, go, go!"
After the Griffins left, the guys keep talking:
- "We been hustled!"
- "Nobody says that anymore."
- "What would you call it?"
- "I wouldn't comment on it. We know what happened."
