Comparison between the regular uncut version, which will be referred to as "Uncut" for convenience, and the workprint.

Unfortunately, the workprint does not have too many surprises in store. However, there is a lot of alternative (yet unspectacular) footage, many scene extensions and, above all, more dialogue. The new scenes between Frank and Freddy are top notch. It really is a shame that those did not make it on the DVD as deleted scenes and thus can only be seen in the workprint.

For those who expect longer or extended gore scenes, the workprint will be disappointed. Apart from one or two exceptions, the workprint even contains less gore. Plain and simply because all the gory close-ups had not been shot yet. You will find full particulars below.

Since both the image and sound quality of the workprint are extremely poor, it was quite difficult to perceive alternative or new dialogues correctly. Such being the case, a question mark in brackets (?) was used to indicate unverifiable sentences or words. Completely unidentfiable text passages were omitted; they are indicated by three full stops in brackets (...).

In absolute terms, there is a difference of 21:00 min.. Nevertheless, since the workprint contains lots of alternative footage, one can assume that there are roughly 45 minutes of new footage.

These and other complains from survivors of the 4th of juli reffinery desaster have led the environmental protection agency to order 900 tons of soil removed from the area. At the time of this filming that soil was residing (?) in 175 railroad cars, parked at an unused railroad line in South Dakota."
