31:17 / 37:20-37:36
The coast guard people keep arguing about the body because it could be a rash or even or some kind of plague. The head of operations orders a wide disinfection. 16.3 sec
35:00 / 41:19-41:38 Jeannie's conversation with Dr. Rufus gets interrupted by a scene with Jeff. He intends to sell the bee story to a reporter but she puts him off because a carneval story seems more appealing. 19.4 sec
35:11 / 41:49-42:35 Jeff tries again and warns that there were only 10 hours left until the bees attacked. By mentioning further absurd animal attacks, the reporter makes fun of him. Jeff gets rough, reveals what he does for a living and gives her a few details. Before he mentions the ship collision, there is more footage of Jeannie who understands less and less of what Dr. Rufus is saying due to the festivities in the background. Jeff now has the reporter's attention. She says she was going to call a camera crew. In the middle of this shot, the International Version is back in the game. 45.9 sec
40:33-40:35 / 47:58 The Extended Version (both German VHS and the UK Horror Channel broadcast) contains a black screen here. The German movie role also contains some exclusive footage: The previous shot of Sheriff McKew is a little longer. He also looks sideways. German Theatrical Version 1.4 sec longer
Especially curious: The UK broadcast here contains some text supposed to be for the broadcasting channel only...
44:22-44:24 / 51:45-51:54 Missing footage during the shot of Sheriff McKew resp. considering the marks in the images, there was another reel change. German VHS 7.1 sec longer
54:03-54:04 / 61:33 In the German Theatrical Version, Jeff wakes up a little earlier in the drunk tank. + 1.1 sec 63:06 / 70:35-70:41 Jump-cut due to another reel change: The shot of the barn is actually longer. Jeannie then says on the radio that he was going in which is shown via exterior shot. The subsequent interior shot starts a little earlier as well (jump-cut). 6 sec
77:40 / 85:15-85:22 One final reel change: The shot of the bee vehicle on its way inside is longer. In addition to that, there is a shot at headquarters. 7.8 sec
Alternate 83:46-83:55 / 91:29-91:56 + End Credits The movie ends slightly different. The International Version simply shows the bee for approx. 9 more seconds. Then the credits roll. The Extended Version zooms in on the stadium lights instead. Then the Extended Version zooms out of the stadium. One gets to see the city from above. Here and during further exterior shots, the credits roll to some (less threatening) music. Last but not least, a few of the original credits have been replaced by information regarding the new audio track on video. Irrelevant for an international audience of course but also in the comparison for the sake of completeness. German VHS 18.2 sec longer
