Video Nasties: The Definitive Guide 2 Out in July The 80's were a time that prompted a lot of censor activity due to the flood of brutal horror videos that entered the markets worldwide. Although Germany is often considered a territory where films had a tough time with cuts, Great Britain wasn't a paradise, either. 72 films made it onto the ban list, the so-called Video Nasties. In 2010, the documentary Video Nasties: Moral Panic, Censorship & Videotape was released and took an extensive look at the topic and became a huge success. And since the matter is still interesting, a sequel was produced that deals with more movies that suffered from the same fate. It is titled Video Nasties: Draconian Days and is scheduled for release in the UK on July 14th, 2014. However (and ironically), it will not be completely uncensored. Although the main documentary itself wasn't altered, a trailer collection on one of the bonus DVDs was objected. The trailer for Last Cannibal World had to endure cuts that removed 4 seconds of animal cruelty.
