Comparison between the TV Version and the Extended Version.
10 differences, among of them 4 with alternate footage Length difference: 56.7 sec All Blu-ray releases of this cult series unfortunately only contain the TV-Version of all of the episodes. Viewers who already know the Extended Versions from the DVD boxes will miss the additional footage. Episode 3x04 (The One with the Metaphorical Tunnel) contains approx. 1 minute of new footage. Especially Rachel and Monica have more screentime. All in all, nothing worth mentioning though. Alternate

Phoebe change the channel: "All right, you've suffered enough. We'll change it. We'll change it." We see Joey with a fake mustache on TV. He desperately attempts to sew something together. A narrator says: "How many times has this happened to you?" Joey stings himself in the clip: "Argh, there's got to be a better way!" The group looks at Joey with a smile on their faces. Alternate 08:31-08:33 In the Extended Version, the scene at the Central Perk Cafe starts earlier. Phoebe: "Will you guys listen to this and tell me what you think?" She prepares to play something when all of a sudden, there is a beeping noise. Phoebe: "That's interesting." Rachel explains resp. she passes over her beeper: "Honey." Phoebe: "Oh, cause it's a beeper." When she then refers to Joey's conversation, alternate takes are being used. Extended Version 12.2 sec longer

12:57 Chandler gets calmed down longer after he initiated his break-up with Janice. Monica: "You didn't beg, did you?" Chandler: "I said Please." Monica: "Well, was it please with one e in the middle of it or lots of e's?" Chandler: "Oh, dear lord, I begged." 11.3 sec
13:47 After Rachel's advice, Chandler repeats "Aloof?" at the beginning of the shot. 4.2 sec
Alternate 13:56-14:01 The discussion keeps going. The TV Version contains an alternate shot of Rachel getting up. (Rachel: "And then act aloof.") Chandler: "And then I'll be ok?" Monica: "Yeah, I think so." (Chandler: So I'm not, not gonna lose her?) Extended Version 4 sec longer
