Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

Comparison:

  • Theatrical Version
  • TV Version
Release: Dec 06, 2009 - Author: brainbug1602 - Translator: Mr Miau - external link: IMDB
Comparison between the Theatrical Version (taken from the US-DVD) and the TV version broadcasted by the FX network.

About the movie:

The seventh part of the Halloween series takes place 20 years after the events of the original. Laurie Strode has a new identity and is the head of an elite school. Despite her new identity she suffers from panic attacks what burdens the relation to both her son John and her lover Will. Myers is stil alive and eventually finds her. On Halloween he watches for her at her school, where John and his friends are having a party as well...

About the different versions:

The FX network broadcasted an alternative cut of the movie. Despite removing some violence (the murder of Sarah is completely missing and the corpses of Jimmy and his friend aren't visible as well), this version adds some new additions to the storyline that even the Workprint didn't offer. Furthermore, every swear word has been either completely removed or overdubbed for the American TV. A list of the removerd cursings can be found at the end of this article.

One of the biggest advantages of this new version is that Ronny doesn't reappears after his alleged death, besides that there are many other rather small changes that do not change the movie much.

The first time designation refers to the DVD, the second one to the TV version.
