The UK version was compared with the export version.
London in 1888: In the dark, foggy alleys of Whitechapel, a series of gruesome murders is terrorizing the population. Several prostitutes are brutally murdered. Inspector O'Neill and his American colleague Sam Lowry try to find the perpetrator. Jack the Ripper relies primarily on a dark atmosphere and foggy backdrops, using the unsolved historical case of Jack the Ripper as the basis for a solid crime plot in which false leads are often laid until the perpetrator is finally unmasked. A detailed explanation of the different versions of Jack the Ripper can be found in the introduction to the comparison between the US version and the export version. As mentioned there, the UK version is based on the export version, but does not show the alternative nude scenes. It is interesting to note that the shot with color is not used in the finale, but rather an alternative shot of the elevator. The scene in which Freddie licks the champagne from Maggie's glass has also been shortened, as a comparison with the corresponding scene from the US version shows. This seems to have been a BBFC requirement that was not adopted for the export version, as an alternative scene was used there. Running times:

In the UK version, the dancers are clothed, while in the export version, some of the dancers' breasts are visible. The dialogue is identical. In the scene, Maggie and Hazel are getting ready. One of the women starts an argument with Maggie and a fight ensues. O'Reilly enters the room and separates the women.
