In this report you'll see the differences between the modified US (R-Rated)version by Skouras Ventura and the uncut German DvD by Anolis/Fear Express.

Young girls are disappearing in and around the Mary Magdalen Halfway House for Troubled Girls. Desperate to find out what became of her sister, Larissa Morgan goes undercover to infiltrate the Catholic-run institution. Once inside, she encounters Father Fogerty, a priest with a passion for punishment; Sister Cecelia, a nun with a dark past plotting an even blacker future; Edwina and her love-toy Cherry Pie; tough Latino Angelina and her home girls and a sinister handyman named Lutkus. It's not long before she's caught up in a twisted web of sadism, violence, and wanton lust before finally learning the ultimate secret of the Halfway House.

Halfway house is a pretty nice mix out of splatter, violence, nudity and sarcasm. The film reminds on some of the Trash-highlights released in the 80's. You'll find the Necronomicon which was inspired by Lovecraft. The movie was made pretty oldschool, you won't find any CGI in it.

In Germany there is only one uncut release by Anolis.
On the other hand there had been two releases in the USA, first the modified R-Rated version and an Unrated Director's Cut.
In this case the Unrated Director's Cut is equal to the German version.

The only things missing in the R-Rated version are some scenes which include nudity.

R-Rated = 83:13 Min.
Unrated Directors Cut / German DvD = 84:06 Min.

This makes a total of 51,5 Sec. missing in the R-Rated version.

In the cutted version you see Edwyna's hand holding onto the side of the bed.
