Release: Mar 20, 2011 - Author: Mike Lowrey - Translator: Victor - external link: IMDB
The third movie of the Jackass franchise made some serious money at the box office (170 mio. worldwide with a budget of 20 mio. Dollar), proving its worth as Paramount's chash cow once more. Unsurprisingly given an R-rating by the MPAA (for male nudity, extremely crude and dangerous stunts throughout, and for language), an extended version was of course released on DVD and Blu-ray, showing that no censorship consisting of blurring, frame cuts or alternative footage has been used.

A must-buy for fans, despite bonus features being scarce. However, according to Johnny Knoxville enough footage for two movies has been shot – which will most likely be released direct to video at a later time.

Comparison between the Unrated Version and the Theatrical Version (R-Rated) (both on the US-DVD from Paramount).

6 differences, consisting of
4 extended scenes
1 additional scene
1 scene with alternative footage

The Unrated runs 373,4 Sec. / 6 minutes 14 seconds longer than the Theatrical Version.
Extended scene
0:30:21: The Super Mighty Glue bit has been extended a great deal. After Bam has yanked his hands off Preston's and Phil's hairy bodies, he tries to wash the hair off with a special cleaning fluid – that doesn't have any effect whatsoever.

Then Dunn takes part in the experiment. Due to him not having any hair on his butt, he gets glued up and sits down on Phil's hairy back. While that goes on, Bam glues his hand to Dunn's beard, much to the amusement of everyone but Dunn. After Dunn is yanked off Phil's back, Preston helps Bam to rip his hand off Dunn's beard – and there is much rejoicing.
227,2 Sec.

Extended scene
0:52:01: Bam asks the guy with the controllable flatulence to light a cigarette with his butt. He hits the cigarette and vomits shortly after – again, when something best left to the imagination in a cup is shown to him.
61,88 Sec.

Extended scene
1:01:57: During the Duck Hunting, Parks has to act as a target as well.
47,64 Sec.

Additional scene
1:05:40: In another part of the Rocky bit, Dave Kosick gets smacked in the head.
27,16 Sec.

Extended scene
1:08:55: Pontius brushes his teeth with an electric toothbrush and says: "If you wanna walk the walk you gotta talk the talk. Or no one will take you serious.".
9,52 Sec.

Alternative footage
1:30:55: During the ending credits, the theatrical version shows Dunn sitting on Phil's back while Bam glues his hand to Dunn's face. Because this has already been shown in the Unrated, this version shows a conclusion to Ehren's tooth removal.
