Comparison:

  • BBFC 18
  • Unrated
Release: Nov 18, 2014 - Author: Imbor Ed - Translator: Mr Miau - external link: IMDB

While Found had to be cut by 7 minutes for an 18 rating in Australia, only 4 seconds were removed in the UK - at least this is what the BBFC states on its website.

A cut was required to remove sight of a murderer's erect penis, during a scene of sadistic sexualised violence and threat. Cut required in accordance with BBFC Guidelines, policy and the Video Recordings Act 1984.

However, now that we could compare the British version, it becomes obvious that 99 seconds in 4 scenes are missing. The renting company had cut the movie before even handing it in at the BBFC. The scene the BBFC statement relates to is the last one, however, almost noting can be discerned anyway.

The movie itself works well as a shocker and found its own audience, but especially in the middle part (where the three big cuts can be found) it can get rather ridiculous. The last part, in which surprise and thrill are more important, works a lot better.
