Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.

The differences:

7 cuts = 2 minutes and 53 seconds.
2 alternate scenes = 28.5 seconds.

There is no need to make many words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". You doesn't know it has at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.


As to the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.

She throws the manual for the VCR on the table and grabs the right one. Then Willie enters the kitchen.
Willie: Hi, honey!
Katherine: Hi, honey!
Alf to Willie: Hi, honey!
Willie: How's the new electronic top-browning self-cleaning microwave convection oven?
Alf: Doo dah, doo dah!
Katherine: I love it!
Alf: She hates it! You should have bought her a Nuke-man!
Willie: Heh, Nuke-man?
Alf: Yeah! A personal-sized nuclear-power plant! It was the latest fad on Melmac! In fact, it was the last fad on Melmac!
Willie: Kate, if you don't like that oven!
Katherine: No, I love it! It's a matter of getting it going! This is gonna be the first Thanksgiving I don't spend in the kitchen!

Now the sound of a thunderbolt. Then ALF says: Beats me, and Willie's out there stalking a turkey!

Alf: "Perhaps he will give us a sign!"
Another loud thunderbolt. Then Brian says: Wow! Did you see that?
Alf: Two hippopotamus, three hippopotamus, four hippo...
And a third thunderclap. ALF: Yikes!
Brian: How close was that?
Alf: Three and a half hippopotami!

Raquel: Come on, Brian, you sit over here!
Brian takes a seat at the table as well. Raquel strokes his cheek and says: Oh, he's so cute!
Brian: I love that kind of stuff! I really do! He is grossed out and wipes his cheek.
