33:38 / 41:53

The shot of Sarah finding Verna dead starts insignificantly earlier in the TV Version. However, the graphic violence is identical here because te shot starts with Sarah from behind.

TV Version 0.08 sec longer

33:45 / 42:00

Black screen in the TV Version.

TV Version 2.16 sec longer

Removed Scene
33:47 / 42:00

After the black screen, the TV Version contains a little shot of Verna's body on the bed. Already seen in both versions but since there was a commvercial break in the TV Version, it is very likely that this is the reason for repeating it so the viewer why Sarah reacts how she reacts in the subsequent shot.

TV Version 1.64 sec longer

Extended Scene
34:12 / 42:23

The Executioner a little longer in front of Sarah who is lying on the ground unconscious.

1.04 sec

Additional Scene
35:27 / 43:39

Two additional exterior shots.

Also, the following shot of Marjorie starts earlier on Blu-ray.

7.6 sec

Extended Scene
35:38 / 43:58

Marjorie's comment is longer on Blu-ray.
Marjorie: "Verna McBride. We’re all shocked. No one can believe it."

The bold-marked dialog is missing in the TV Version.

Furthermore, the TV Version shows Cam during Marjorie's "No one can believe it." while the Blu-ray sticks to Marjorie.

Nonetheless, the shot of Cam is identical resp. it is a few frames longer on Blu-ray.

3.96 sec

Alternate Footage
35:45 / 44:08

The Blu-ray contains a single shot of Cam and Marjorie when the latter asks "But was it true? Was is the work of The Executioner?". The TV Version first contains a closer shot, follwed by the rest of the shot also used on Blu-ray. Due to that alteration, the TV Version is insignificantly shorter.

…and so does the following shot of Marjorie.

Additional Scene / Recut
36:24 / 44:53

For some reason, another scene with Dylan and his boss Alison gt recut.
Alison: "We need to dig up everything we can find on Verna McBride. Her childhood, her marriage… What she's been doing all alone in that house for the last 30 years, OK? Leave no stone unturned. How's Sarah?"
Dylan: "'How's Sarah?'. Are you asking out of concern or for today's headline? You want me to investigate the murder, fine. Sarah is not the story. Period."
Alison: "This isn't just a murder. We have a copycat and whether you like it or not, Sarah is at the center of the story."
Dylan: "And at the same time, you get to sell a shit ton of papers. Are you scared?"
Alison: "I am scared. And you should be too."

Removed Scene / Recut
37:06 / 46:22

Now the scene with Dylan and Alison in the TV Version.

The beginning of Alison's comment (bold-marked) is missing in the TV Version and so is the shot of Dylan after Alison's last comment ("I am scared. And you should be too."). As a result, the scene is 4.2 sec shorter in the TV Version (no screenshots).

TV Version 43.16 sec longer

37:49 / 46:22

Black screen in the TV Version.

TV Version 1.24 sec longer

Extended Scene TV Version
37:50 / 46:22

In the TV Version, Alan Henry's comment "We're all shocked by the murder of Verna McBride." is on-screen…

…while on Blu-ray, it is audible during the end of the previous shot of Cam walking away from the church. Since the scene with Dylan and Alison starts earlier on Blu-ray, this is not an issue at all. In the TV Version however, Alan's comment from the off would not have made any sense at all because said scene with Dylan and Alison follows right after that. Anyway, due to this alteration, the shot of Alan starts slightly earlier in the TV Version. By the way, the shot of Cam in front of the church is a single frame longer on Blu-ray.

TV Version 4.6 sec longer

Extended Scene / Alternate Footage
38:12 / 46:40

Alan: "But the murder of Verna McBride and of Rachel and Brian Ingram, these are not the works of God. These are the works of men. We're all born with fallen nature. One that loves sind and hates holiness. Stretching all the way back to the original sin and Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, our first step away from God."

The bold-marked dialog is missing in the TV Version.

Also, the footage of the audience is different.
US TV VersionUS Blu-ray

Other than that, Alan's comment regarding Adam and Eve is being spoken off-screen insignificantly longer in the TV Version resp. the shot of Alan starts insignificantly earlier on Blu-ray.

6.28 sec

The Executioner earlier.

2.28 sec
