Comparison between the cut R-Rated version and the uncut Unrated version (both from Lions Gate)
No further words need to be spoken about one of the best horror movies of the last few years.
The R-Rated contains all the splatter effects but the original ending has been cut away completely. It might have been too negative for the viewers - however, the ending of the R-Rated seems really crude now.

R-Rated version = 98:35 Min.
Unrated version = 99:51 Min.
94:15After Sarah has seen Beth sitting in the car beside her, her eyes widen and she starts screaming - the R-Rated ends right here. The Unrated continues as follows. Sarah still lies inside the cave and opens her eyes (her escape was only a dream). As she gets up, she hears the low voice of a child. Sarah looks in front of her and we see a birthday cake as well as Sarah's daughter smiling at her mother. The camera moves away from the child to Sarah, who looks happy, too. The camera moves away and we see Sarah sitting alone in the cave. Only a torch lights the scenery a bit. We hear creepy noises of the creatures and this is where the Unrated ends.
