"Being alive isn't everything." Kai, last of the Brunnen-G

Everytime eternal life is being deemed bad, the censors are coming. As seen in this episode of Lexx, where there has been cut some dialogue when it came to eternal life being shown as something not worth achievable. And hence there are 7 cuts seen in the SciFi (now Syfy) version, summing up 3 minutes and 6 seconds. Some of those cuts were done to make more room for commercial breaks.

The refered time index refers to the time index of the uncut DVD.

This report is dedicated to Alexander Kier "Lex" Gigeroff.

Kai explains what a theater is.

Kai: It appears to be a theater.
Xev: Theater? What is that?
Kai: Where people come to see actors engage in live dramatic performances.
Stan: What?
Kai: Theater is a medium for communal storytelling, Stanley. For exploring myth, it is a place of cultural and intellectual enrichment.
Stan (sarcastic): Oh, that sounds really exciting.
(Stan looks around)

Stan: Wow.

07:33

Stanley, Xev and Kai talk about the realness of this place.

Stanley: Whoa, whoa, this can't be real.
Kai: Define real.
Xev: I can't. Not anymore.
Stanley: Well, look, look, look... it... it doesn't matter, ok? I have seen enough... "theater". They can stay and sing, and we can go!

09:15

Some lines from the Master of Ceremony have been cut.

Master of Ceremony: No Brunnen-G would ever grow old again. They thought by freeing their bodies of aging, that they would become immortal gods at play. But humans are not designed to live forever. Their bodies did not age, but they became a feared of everything and anything, for partaking in any activity at all could threaten their precious and ageless bodies.

The last verse from "Dull, dull, dull" is missing.

Newborn: Dull, dull, dull. You are extremely dull. Why should we accept your lot, to stay inside and slowly rot? Dull, dull, dull. We'd rather... crack our skulls.
(the two Newborn crack their skulls symbolically, Xev laughs because of that)

Stan is stopping Kai before he can get on stage.

Master of Ceremony: When you are upon the stage the words will find you. You do not have to find them.
Stan: Don't do it, Kai.
Kai: Why not?
Stan: Why not?!? Because, like I said, the universe is coming to an end and we have to keep going to the center if we wanna have any hope at all of surviving Mantrid and his drones. And as far as I'm concerned, this... "show" is just nothing but a weird distraction. So let's go.
Xev: Hm...
Stan: What?
Xev: I think... I'd like to hear Kai sing.
Stan: You'd like to hear Kai sing?
Xev: Mhm.
(Stan looks down resigning)

(Kai enters the stage)

The trial against Kai is missing completely. Possibly due to the sentence he's facing - a slow and gruesome death: natural aging.

Judge: You are accused of a treason most high. You are found guilty, sentenced to die. I hereby decree that your death shall be slow. This newborn will die because he will grow old.
(The judge leans towards Kai)
Judge: Have you anything to say?
Kai: You do not pass this sentence on me. You're passing it on all Brunnen-G.

The audio track has been changed slightly due to the previous cut. The Master of Ceremony isn't seen as in these pictures before Kai is shown in his cell.
