Comparison between the TV version and the DVD version, the latter represented by the US DVD set "Season 17"

- 1 difference
- Runtime: 15,3 sec

Same procedure as every year: The next DVD set of Family Guy, available in the U.S. since December 2019, contains all episodes of season 17, some of which are also available in an extended or simply uncensored form compared to the original TV versions. A sticker on the plastic foil gives this away, but on the set itself there are no further hints.

Episode 17x13 ("Trans-Fat") offers a short additional scene in the bar, where Peter is getting on the guys' nerves. Obviously a cut for tightening reasons.

Note:
* In 17x10 (Hefty Shades of Gray) there are no differences between the TV and DVD versions.
* In 17x11 (Trump Guy) you can hear a beep in the 7th minute of the well-known "grab ('em) by the ..." line also on DVD.
* In 17x12 (Bri, Robot) there is a beep in the 20th minute when Peter says "Merry fucking Christmas!". This has been reversed on DVD.

Alternativ 16:23-16:29

First of all Peter has the wish to record a boomerang video with his mobile phone in the bar.
Peter: "Wait, before we drink these, we got to get a Boomerang of us cheersing."
Quagmire: "What? Why?"
Peter: "So people know I'm not in the house. Ready? One, two, three."
You toast; "Cheers!"
Cleveland: "So anyway, Donna thinks that if..."
Peter: "Wait, wait, it didn't come out. I-I'm gonna put the flash on. Okay, one more time."
Joe: "No."

When the beer is brought before, the animation already differs in the TV version, because Peter's bag is placed differently. The same happens when the bag is put away as the dialogue continues identically.

DVD version is 15,3 sec longer
