Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.
8 cuts = 2 minute and 55.5 seconds.
There is no need to make many words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". You doesn't know it has at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.
As to the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.
Extended shot of Willie. He is smiling.
Willie: (I don't understand! How can you just buy a planet?)
Alf: (Well, they got a good deal on a foreclosure!) You know what this means?
When ALF talks about his upcoming trip to his actual home planet, Willie also says: Well, I guess we should have expected this day might come!
After Col. Halsey gave orders to subordinates, Sgt. Armstrong is annoyed and says to Lt. Alden: I love it when he takes control!
Col. Halsey turns around to them and says: What's that, sergeant? Armstrong responds: Uh, nothing, Sir!
Subsequently, an exterior shot of the Tanner house, followed by a cut to ALF's room. ALF finds a piece of paper that reads "Kick me". Then he says: Oh, hey! Hey, look, Brian! Here's that "kick me" sign I tapped to your back your first day of school four years ago!
Brian reaches for the piece of paper and looks at it with the words "Oh, wow!". He also shares something about it: That was the day I learned how to run really, really fast!
ALF takes out a fake finger and says something about it as well: Oh, oh! And here's that fake finger I put in your mashed potatoes! I didn't think it was possible to spit anything that far!
ALF then starts laughing and takes out the next item: Doing so, he says: Oh, hey, remember this? The arrow? The arrow through the head? Remember? "Help me, Brian! Help me! Help me!"
Brian: Oh, we've had some fun times together, Alf!
Alf: Yeah, we sure have!
Brian: Are you gonna go away?
Alf: I can't make up my mind!
Brian: Could I go with you?
Alf: Aw, come on, Brian! You've got a life full of accomplishments ahead of you! You'll meet people, you'll fall in love! She'll break your heart, you'll find somebody better! You'll have children, they'll break your heart! Eventually, you'll grow old and die! You don't wanna miss out on all that, do you?
Brian: No, I guess not!
Brian gets up and runs back down. One gets to see that ALS put the "Kick me" sign back on him. ALF cannot resist to laugh maliciously. When Brian has arrived downstairs, ALF says with a joy: Oh, ah, what a maroon!
When ALF tries to contact the other members of his species, Kate also says: They're still coming, aren't they?
Alf: If I want them to!
Willie: Well, they're not gonna land here, are they? Because I've seen the way you guys park!
The members of ALF's species request an answer from him whether he still wants to get picked up or rather stay with the Tanners. While deciding, the music coming from a speaker is missing. ALF then says: I hate it when they push me like that! What do I do? What do I tell them?
Katherine: You might wanna make sure your answer is in the form of a question!
Alf: What's the right answer? I mean, do I give up all that I have for what might only be a pipe dream? Do I leave my loved ones for a chance at freedom? I can't decide! I can't! I can't!
Willie: Just close your eyes tightly! What's the first thing you see?
During ALF's farewell party, a shot of Lynn is missing: after hugging ALF, she is obviously touched and gets back on the chair.
Alf: Well, come on, come on! Who's next?
Extended shot of ALF and the others in the vehicle.
