The ninja master interjects in between that one should keep every promise. In the original movie, Rodney mumbles something to himself during the middle part of the shot.

Before the suspected thief hurries away, he gives Rodney another punch in the stomach. The camera moves back and the picture quality is particularly bad during this beginning of the shot.

What did we miss: The dramatic shot of Rodney is interrupted by the commandment that a ninja must not reveal his secrets.

After the rest of the shot of Rodney, Danny is shown in a cell at night. He has a nightmare and sees Janet's face several times, or rather finally realizes that she is his biological mother. The warden restores calm.

Next random ninja action in the IFD version: This time, Gordon clashes with a girl and only after she is on the floor does he notice her gender. He says that he won't kill her, but she should arrange a fight with Stuart tomorrow at Devil Rock.

In the original film, we see the thoughtful Danny in his cell again instead. He makes a few comments about a song and looks impatiently at the clock. There are flashbacks to a few slaps in the face and Danny screams in panic. Then the warden comes up to him, talks to him a bit and then opens the cell. The two of them then talk for a while in the anteroom. Danny apparently notices how he had seen his father die before. The warden leads him out and after a few more words, Danny is allowed to leave.

original film 186,8 sec (= 3:07 min) longer

83:52 / 86:40-87:24

The picture freezes a bit longer in the original version here and you can hear some off-commentary (and sentimental music). At last a final fade in.

But, of course, the very dark original ending was not enough for IFD and after all the cruel family drama, there is still the final showdown between Gordon and the madly overacting Stuart. After just under a minute of intense and serious approaching, the two face each other outside of the zoomed full screen. A few nasty words are exchanged and the MNS is pulled up, off we go. Gordon is also allowed to use the notorious ninja parasol for defense, both of them use weapons extensively in battle. After some whirling around, Gordon can throw up an axe from the ground and kills Stuart. He disappears from the picture with a somersault and the end sign appears.
