Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.

The differences:

6 cuts = 117.5 seconds.
3 alternate scenes = 1 Minute and 42.5 seconds.

One certainly needs to make no words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". Even those who have not seen it have at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and was aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.


As for the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.

Willie moves his mouth to Katherine's. When Alf interrupts them, the two versions are back in sync.

Willie asks Alf what he is doing here. Alf answers that he was searching for Lynn. Willie says that she is with Scott. In both versions, the scenes look slightly different, while the dialog stays the same.

At the end of the episode the US Version misses out on the entire scene of Wille at the keyboard and Alf at the camera. Alf starts the camera and tells Willie to get started. Willie starts playing around on the keyboard while singing. Alf tells him to put some more emotions into it. However, it just does not seem to work out right.
Alf: Okay, cut, cut! Now, that's where the smoke pot's gonna go off, okay?
Willie: Gee, I don't know, Alf! This is just supposed to be a little something for Kate!
Alf: Don't think little! There are no small videos!
Willie: Just small director's!
Lynn joins them: What're you guys doing?
Alf: Nothing!
Lynn: You're making a video, aren't you?
Alf: No!
Willie: Yeah! We are! I was hoping we'd surprise your mom!
Lynn: Oh, she'll love it! Are you guys using smoke pots stuff like that?
Alf: Yeah! And computer animation!
Willie: Animation?
Lynn: How about rear projection? Dad could be water-skiing!
Alf: Or swimming in lava!
Willie: In lava?
Lynn: This is gonna be great! Good luck, Dad! I can't wait to see it when it's done!
Alf: All right, come on! Back to work! An action!
Willie starts playing, however, he stops after a few seconds and tells Alf: Alf, I think I'm just gonna stick with the red pajamas!
Alf: I'll bring the camera!
