Compared are the TV Version and the DVD Version, the latter represented by the US DVD set "Volume 9"

5 differences, among them 3 scenes with censored audio track and 1 blurred scene
Length difference: 66.8 sec

The US DVD set called "Volume 9" contains all episodes of season 8 - that is if one follows the segmentation according to which the first season consists of 23 episodes, like we do. There are other sites that list the episodes of "Volume 9" as season 9. Either way, the here compared DVD set contains the uncensored or extended episodes.

Episode 4 ("American Stepdad") contains additional footage at the end of the episode when Stan follows his mom and Roger. Apparently, the scene had to be removed for time reasons but the DVD Version is more coherent. Furthermore, the scenes with a censored audio track are uncensored now and so is the scene in which Riger gives the finger to Stan's mom Betty.

As to the episodes without comparisons:

- Episode 1 ("Love, AD Style") only contains one scene with a censored audio track in the 1st minute of the TV Version: "You worthless piece of shit."

- Episode 2 ("Killer Vacation") only contains one scene with a censored audio track in the 1st minute of the TV Version: "You ain't doing shit with us."

- Episode 3 ("Can I Be Frank With You") only contains one scene with a censored audio track in the 20th minute of the TV Version: "You sick fuck!"

Roger gives Stan's mother Betty the finger.

Only the DVD Version shows Stan at the hospital after his fall.

The nurse welcomes him with: "I heard you pussed out, Stan. Well, you are not gonna do that with me, hmm-mmh. I'm Miss Geneva, your physical therapist and I am gonna help you walk again."
A short training montage follows, then Stan being rolled out of the hospital in a wheel chair.
Stan: "Thank you, Miss Geneva, you gave me my life back. And now I have to go save my Mom's."
He has trouble stading up, Miss Geneva tries to calm him down: "Just take it slow, Stan."
But all of a sudden, Stan stands up smoothly: "I can't. It's already been three months. Time is of the essence."
Miss Geneva: "Then take the ambulance."
Stan: "I can't take your ambulance."
Miss Geneva: "This isn't my ambulance. It's yours!"
Stan: "What?"
Miss Geneva: "Stan, my physical therapist gave this ambulance to me and now I'm giving it to you. And one day you'll give it to your differently raised physical therapy patient."
Stan smiles and reaches for the key.

Roger's "Finally got the film in. That took forever!" (after 3 months of recovery) and Stan's showing up in the ambulance without any further explanation actually makes sense now.
