Only the German DVD contains the additional titel "Zurück in die 80er" ("Back to the 80s). For obvious reasons, the UK DVD only contains the original show title. Furthermore, the German title of the episode follows after the opening. In the UK Version, the title does not appear.

Please note: I am well aware that this is irrelevant for international audiences, but I would not be surprised if this alteration had been made in other (non-English speaking) countries as well.

Right after the opening, a scene with Alex at Luigi's is missing (hence the different scene regarding the [missing] title of the episode).
Alex walks in at Luigi's and goes to Luigi behind the bar.
Luigi: "Bonasera."
Alex: "Luigi."
Luigi and Alex look in Gene's direction. Gene is sitting at the table, looking blue. Subsequently, Alex goes to Gene and sits in front of him.
Gene: "My boots. Good."
Alex: "Something's happening."
Gene: "What?"
Alex: "I don't know, but it's something significant. I eh… I think I might be going home."
Gene: "Yeah, I think we sorted all this, Bols. You're not going anywhere unless I say so. And I don't say so. Boots."
After a brief moment of eye contact, Alex bangs the boots on the table.
With the shot of the Quattro, the versions are back in sync.

Gene and his team are on the way to a crime scene when Gene is suddenly blocked by another car, which forces him to stop the Quattro. Gene yells "Get out of the way, you bastard!". He then gets out of the car in the International Version.
In the UK Version, Gene yells "Get out of the way, you bastard!" as well but he does not get out of the car yet. Ray is on the back seat and he says "Guv.". Gene then honks again and yells "Rerverse, you twat, or I'll rip your innards out!".
Ray: "Guv."
Gene: "I'm going to kill them."
Ray: "Guv."
Then we see a guy carrying a "promo sign" for a gay club on his shoulders. Alex comments that with a slightly sarcastic undertone: "There's a man with a giant penis."
Gene: "Right."
Ray (with raised voice): "Guv, it's Princess Margaret."
Alex: "What's she doing in Soho?"
Ray: "Dressmaker lives here, I think."
Gene: "Sixth in line to the throne. Gene Hunt does not wait for the sixth in line to the bloody throne."
Alex: "Oh, God."
Now, Gene gets out of the Quattro in the UK Version as well.

After investigating the crime scene, the International Version goes on with Gene. He comes into the office and gives orders instantaneously. Only the UK Version reveals the reason for his behavior.
Gene is looking out of a window when Superintendent Mackintosh gets out of his car in the parking lot. He enters, then Gene leaves. Then Chris, Ray und Shaz at the office.
Chris (to Ray): "See that woman over there? I think I knew it the moment I set eyes on her. Beautiful, kind, brave as a lion."
Ray: "All I can see is Shaz."
Now, Gene enters the office in the UK Version as well.
