This is a comparison between the US Version and the German Version, both included on the DVD released by X-Rated.

You would think that several Troma-movies should be listed under "Worst Movies of all Time", you are suddenly confronted with The Necro Files - and learn to reconsider. Even though most Troma-movies are trashy and look cheap, they can at least do one thing: entertain. Unfortunately, there is nothing positive to say about "The Necro Files". The story alone is cringe-worthy: A psychopath randomly kills women and in the end gets killed himself. A sect brings him back to life. As a zombie, the women-killer goes back to his old habit. Sounds stupid - and is so. Additionally, we have to suffer through horrible actors and awful effects. The demon-baby on the graveyard alone will make you laugh. It's more than noticeable, that they used a blood-besmeared babydoll on a fishing rod. Then they shake it around which is supposed to look like it is flying. The other effects and masks are just as laughable. Everything is topped off with a catastrophy of a dub, stupid music and absurd lines. Fyi: This crap was produced by "Todd Tjersland", who is known for producing the disgusting shock-documentaries Faces of Gore 1-3 and even directed a sequel for the second "Necro Files"-flick.

The US-Version missed out on roughly 6 minutes. If you disregard the missing closing credits (which lasts for 5 and a half minutes), there are still a few missing sequences missing towards the beginning. Additionally, some scenes miss out on one or two uninteresting seconds (wich we will not mention below).
