Compared are the TV Version and the Extended Version

5 differences, incl. 1x alternate footage
Length difference: 170.1 sec (= 2:50 min)

New season, old problem: Any Blu-ray release worldwide only contains the TV Version of every single episode while, for instance, the US and UK DVDs contain the Extended Versions.

Episode 4x07 (The One Where Chandler Crosses the Line) is approx. 3 minutes longer. Contrary to other episodes, there is a pattern here: A subplot has been consequently removed for length reasons. Only in the Extended Version, Rachel reconsiders recreational activities. As a result, there are several scenes showing how she deals with having to spend some time all by herself.

04:24-04:25

Prior to the exterior shot, the TV Version shows Monica for a brief moment.

In the Extended Version, Ross is longer on his way to the door instead. Rachel then makes a few suggestions but the others do not like a single one of her ideas.

Rachel: "So who wants to get some dinner with me later? I really wanna try that new Italian restaurant. Supposed to be really good. Saw a lot of Chinese people eating in there."
Monica: "What are you talking about?"
Rachel: "Remember you said some restaurant must be really good because you saw all these Chinese people eating in there?"
Monica: "That's because it was a Chinese restaurant."
Rachel: "Oh. Well, I still wanna go. Who wants to come?"
Joey (while eating a sandwich): "Oh, I can't. I got two dinner dates tonight, so I gotta get ready."
Rachel: "All right, girls' night out."
Monica (with regard to Phoebe): "Oh sorry honey, but we got to prep that catering thing for tomorrow."
Rachel: "Oh, that's right. I wish I was one of those people who could eat in restaurants alone."
Monica: "You should try it. It's a really good thing to do."
Rachel: "I just think I'd feel really self-conscious, y'know? Like I was on display or something."
Phoebe: "Nah, I was on display once. Nothing like eating alone."

Subsequent to the identically equal exterior shot, the scene inside starts earlier.

Rachel: "I just had a great time with myself."
Chandler: "Well, this could be a good story."
Rachel: "At dinner. It was so liberating! Y'know, I don't need people around to have fun. I'm fun. I'm a fun girl!"
Chandler: "Are you a naughty girl?"
Monica and Rachel look at him in a rather critical way whereupon Chandler explains: "No, just fun. Fun. Good. Fun."
Monica: "See, I told you you'd have fun."
Rachel: "I know."
Chandler: "Although I must say that I totally judge any woman I see eating alone."
Rachel: "Why?"
Monica: "Excuse me, what's wrong with a woman eating alone?"
Chandler: "Well, obviously something. She's eating...alone."

10:54-10:56

Additional black screen in the TV Version due to a commercial break. As a result, the shot of Chandler and Kathy kissing is shorter because of said black screen. The TV Version then fades back in. For obvious reasons, there is no need for a black screen in the Extended Version here.

16:27-16:28

While the subsequent shot starts insignificantly earlier in the TV Version (no screenshots), the Extended Version contains an additional scene at the Central Perk telling the next chapter of the Rachel subplot. She just had a promising date and Monica is really confused that Rachel intends to spend more time by herself in the next few days.

Rachel: "I'd love to, but I have plans on Sunday."
Date: "Well, maybe some other time."
Rachel: "Sure. Just give me call; I'm in the book."
Date: "Okay. Thanks a lot. See you."
He leaves and Monica appears: "What are you doing? He is cute and he's a doctor."
Rachel: "How do you know?"
Monica: "Honey, I eavesdrop because I care."
Rachel: "Well, I have plans on Sunday."
Monica: "With who?"
Rachel: "With me."
Monica: "Oh, God!"
Rachel: "What-what? You are the one who told me how important it is to spend time alone. I can't just go out with that guy when I have plans by myself. Wouldn't be fair to me."
Monica: "So basically you're saying you don't want to cheat on yourself?"
Rachel: "Well, if you wanna make me sound crazy."

After Ross asks Chandler if he wanted to make a song about it, the TV Version contains a smooth transition to the following scene in which Chandler mentions to Joey his (Joey's) feelings for Kathy (no screenshots).
The Extended Version on the other hand contains an additional scene with Rachel and her date. He reveals the doc sees her "eating alone" tactics critical as well.

One gets to see Rachel while her thoughts are audible via voice-over: "I don't know if this is working out. I think...I think I wanna see other people. Wow. Didn't see that one coming. It's not that I don't enjoy this. I do. I just wanna see what else is out there."
The guy she dated in the previous scene enters the room.
Rachel: "Hey Guy."
Date: "Hey."
Rachel: "What are you doing here?"
Date: "I work across the street."
Rachel: "Oh, y'know what? It turns out I'm gonna be free Sunday."
Date: "Ahh, y'know? I wish you had called me. I just told them I'd work this weekend."
Rachel: "Oh, okay. Well, maybe next weekend."
Date: "Definitely! I'll see ya."
They shake hands.
Rachel: "Okay."
Now the thoughts of her date, also via voice-over: "Yeah, you'll be talking to me never, because you're a freak who eats alone."
