Comparison between the HD version and the original version (both included on the German Blu-ray by Filmjuwelen) - 14 differences Proportionate running time of episode 1 in the film version: 56:56 min In the comparison of the pilot episode, we have already summarized everything about the problems with the HD remastering of Baywatch, which is different in songs and also censored in nude scenes, at least right at the beginning. Episode 2x01 (Nightmare Bay, part 1) is a special case. Like in season 1, this two-parter was on the old DVD and thus also as a bonus on the Blu-ray as a coherent movie version. While this was also true for the HD version of season 1, here we have two split episodes. In this series version, the season opener is almost 10 minutes shorter. So it was tightened up for the usual length of the series, especially in the first part. On top of that, there was also some re-cutting and two of the scenes edited here reappear at least for the most part in the second part of the series/HD version.
While there were shorter opening credits in the original version in season 1, this season 2 also has the better known, slightly longer version.
Here, too, some shots differ, which are illustrated only here in the first report of the season. The credits insertions were also revised as usual. No time difference
05:41 / 05:40-09:40 After Mitch was left behind alone, the series version and thus the HD master is missing a long scene with a demonstration on the beach, where Kaye reports. The senator is asked why the drilling for oil continues. Mitch and Devon come along to release a seal, which Kaye finds more interesting, resp. comes to the sentimental Devon. 239,7 sec (= 4:00 min)
Shortly afterwards, there is a hard transition between the shots in HD, while the original version has a soft transition - as is the case with the following shots in both versions. Alternative 10:05-10:07 / 14:04-14:06 When Tiana falls, the cut is diverted to her brother. No time difference
Alternative 13:48-13:53 / 17:46-17:51 With two shots taken in quick succession, the original version places more emphasis on the ventilator. No time difference
Exchanged song during the montage with Shauni and Eddie in minute 15 / 19. Alternative 15:45-15:54 / 19:43-19:52 At the beginning of this song there are a few beach shots that deviate. No time difference

23:13 / 27:11-27:34 Devon tells Mitch that Kaye is only after Linda's story, she is not interested in him at all. Mitch asks what story that is, but Linda should tell him herself. When he goes to Linda, he tells her at the door that Kaye might be after him after all. 23.5 sec
