Comparison between the cut British DVD by DVD.com.LTD / Vengeance Video and the uncut German DVD by Imperial Pictures / Cargo Records

- 6 cuts
- Cut duration: 65 sec (= 1:05 min) [in PAL].

A few additional master errors, each lasting less than 0.5 sec, were not listed in the report.

Wu-Tang vs Ninja is another 80's production from Taiwan in which Alexander Lou gets to demonstrate his fighting skills. A white-haired ninja master experiments around with naked girls in between, simply a trashy Eastern wonderland. In Germany, the German DVD premiere was released on July 09, 2021. In addition to the German VHS master (in 1.66:1 - anamorphic encoded), the Japanese picture master in 2.35:1 is also on board.  Version-wise, there are no differences between these two. Previously, there was a DVD release in the UK, for example, in lousy quality and zoomed to full frame. In addition, the film was cut by almost a full minute here, although the cuts only partially reek of BBFC censorship necessities.

Runtimes are ordered as follows: British DVD in PAL / German DVD in PAL

By way of introduction, a small picture comparison: the British DVD disqualifies itself once again already by the zoomed picture format.

In addition to the 2.35:1 version based on the Japanese VHS, the German DVD also has a 1.66:1 version on board, again based on the master known from the German VHS. The quality here is a little better than the 2.35:1 version, but of course some of the picture information is missing here as well.

For the sake of completeness, both versions are uncut.

00:00 / 00:00-00:02

The British version is missing the very first two shots. A ninja throws a gun around here - thus possibly a deliberate cut right away, though it remains somewhat unclear.

Alternative.
00:05-00:12 / 00:07-00:14

The UK also shows other shots to the alternate film title.
However, the rest of the opening credits afterwards is identical.

00:54 / 00:56-01:31

After the opening credits, the UK lacks a long landscape shot. As a result, the two masters discuss around earlier.

The monk licks down a little further towards the genital area.
The follow up shot also starts a little earlier, the peeping tom moves back.

56:45 / 57:25-57:27

Probably a master error: after revenge is sworn, the first shot from the training starts a moment earlier.

After Mark gets his fingers beat sore, he looks at them for a moment and strikes again. Meanwhile, the daughter brings a healing tincture to Uncle Lung, which she claims would also give great strength. Mark beats his fingers bloody more times.
