Here we go. New DVD set, new bunch of comparisons. The here compared US release "Volume 12" contains all episodes of Season 11. Contrary to the US TV Versions, all the DVD Versions are uncut and uncensored.
Episode 7 ("Friends Without Benefits") is roughly 30 seconds longer. This is almost only due to a new scene which is altogether not too interesting. Towards the end, however, there is one curious thing: The plant sex towards the end which results from "roofies" had to be toned down for TV. The scene is a little longer on DVD and the movement is a little faster. Awkward.
There is some more dialog in school. Meg wants to prevent Kent from coming out because of the inconveniences that go along with it. However, her example does not have the desired effect.
Meg: "Look, what if you just waited until college to turn gay? Everyone's kind of gay in college."
Kent: "Meg, I'm sorry, but you can't fight nature."
Meg: "But, Kent, wouldn't it be so much easier if you were straight? I mean, this school is so gay-unfriendly. Watch."
She goes to a dark looking student and says: "Hey, did you hear Neil Goldman is gay?"
The boy is really positive about it: "Really? WeII, I think it's great that he's out at such a young age. Hey, everyone, Neil Goldman is gay."
Immediately, others join in:
- "That rules."
- "Aw, lucky."
Neil: "But I'm not gay..."
It's getting silent and then he admits: "Okay, I'm gay."
The others cheer again and pick him up:
- "Neil is such a perfect name for a gay guy."
When a plant (under the influence of roofies) gets raped by another one, the animation was changed. On the DVD, the movement is faster and the scene is overall shown longer.
DVD Version 0.5 sec longer
