The scene follows in which Takeda is attacked by two ninjas, which was already visible in the WP before. This time Mieko shoots one of the ninjas so that Takeda can free herself.

Takeda walks to Mieko and looks at the dead bodies. He removes her arrow and tells her that she has to live. Takeda takes his sword and goes to Kinjo.

It starts to rain when Kinjo and Takeda fight. In the course of the fight the two hurt each other. However, Takeda is deadly injured and falls to the ground.

In the WP Paul begins to laugh as Oshima drives away. He thanks him.

In the WP it starts to rain when Takeda storms towards Kinjo. With only one blow Takeda is defeated by Kinjo. The Injured Mieko gets up and noticed the defeated Takeda. Takeda chooses harakiri and cuts himself open with his sword. Kinjo asks in how much blood he has to bathe to finally be able to clean himself. Kinjo takes his sword. Mieko takes an arrow out of the quiver.

After Mieko has shot the arrow at Kinjo, the two versions are different again.

In the TC, Kinjo approaches Mieko, who pulls a knife. Kinjo knocks it out of her hand, then Mieko turns into Kirina. Kinjo is astonished. When he wants to strike, Paul holds him back. Paul manages to pierce him with his sword, but Kinjo is still able to fight with him. Paul cuts a beam of a wooden construction under which Kinjo is buried.

Paul takes the sword and goes to Mieko. She tells him to break it, because it is a symbol of the Makato clan. Paul breaks the sword on a stone.

Suddenly Kinjo appears behind Paul. The two fight each other in a fistfight. Paul manages to take a stone and hit Kinjo with it. He staggers to the ground. Kinjo attacks Paul with a ninja star. Mieko throws a sword to Paul, who beheads Kinjo with it. Paul thanks Mieko, who tells him that Takeda has died. He helps her up.

When he carries Mieko away, Oshima appears in an armour. Paul mentions that he's a little late. Together they help Mieko walk. The end credits follow.

In the WP Mieko crawls away. Paul comes to her and sees that Kinjo approaches. Mieko wants to hold Kinjo back with the sword, but Paul faces the fight. The two fight in the rain. Kinjo is amused by Paul's weak performance. A sword blow hits Paul on the back. Kinjo throws a chain around Paul's neck. When he begins to strike his sword, Kirina suddenly appears to him in the rain. Paul uses the moment to pierce Kinjo. Despite his injury Kinjo manages to hit Paul again. When Paul lies on the ground and Kinjo wants to strike, his sword breaks. He calls Kirina's name. Paul throws his sword away and goes to Mieko. She tells him that Kinjo wants Paul to kill him. Paul and Mieko go and leave Kinjo behind.

Paul and Mieko running to the castle. They stop and they kiss.
